Traditional appointment with good wine and good food for the cellars of the historic center of Manciano, on the second weekend of September, the Festa delle Cantine is the event that closes the summer season, and one of the most awaited.
A weekend entirely dedicated to the Maremma winemaking tradition, with excellent wines and typical traditional products, musical entertainment and… much more!
On Friday evening, an unmissable appointment with the torchlight procession on horseback through the streets of the town, a procession on horseback with torches crosses the main street of the town, and kicks off the party.
After the torchlight procession, the cellars are opened, where you can taste the typical local products, all accompanied by excellent local Maremma wines, white and red.
On Saturday the stalls along the main street of the town are also open, with many handicrafts, typical products, wines and honey.
In the evening the cellars open and the real party begins, lots of music in the alleys, many traditional dishes (one for each cellar), from wild boar to ciaffagnoni, passing through fried pizzas and acquacotta!
Sunday is the last day and it repeats itself: open cellars, music and lots of fun!
