Vulci Archaeological and Naturalistic Park
Located on the border between Tuscany and Lazio, in the heart of the Tuscan-Lazio Maremma, Vulci was one of the most important Etruscan cities, and is today an archaeological and naturalistic park of extraordinary value.
Of the ancient city of Vulci, precious testimonies remain today, the Necropolis, or the city of the dead, thousands of tombs of various shapes, types and ages, among the most famous are the François Tomb, the Tomb of the Sphinx, the Tomb of the Bulls , and the Tumulus of Cuccumella, with a height of 18 meters.
Most of the finds found in the noble Etruscan tombs are now kept in the National Archaeological Museum.
Many paths within the park, to discover its naturalistic and archaeological sides, you can admire the archaeological excavations of the Etruscan-Roman city, the great waterfall, the Badia castle, which houses the museum.
